16 - "What makes someone a hero?"

Has anyone here literally saved the world?

This questions I asked for all the bloggers out there, "Has anyone of you literally save the world? Of course, most of you will answer my question; "I'm not Superman, I'm not Batman... I'm just an ordinary person." Yeah! Its true that we are not like them. We are not one of those superheroes trying to save the world perhaps or maybe try to die as long as you helped others. Being a superhero doesn't always comes to "A man of Steel," "A Wonder Woman." or even the "Powerful one." Sometimes, helping ones hand is a form of greatness to everyone. Not just helping them, rather, giving thyself a hand to hold on when somebody is in need.

Being a hero can sometimes be a role model to anyone. You can show who you really are!

You can show to others what can you do and what can they do to you too. It is a vice versa right? If you helped them, they will do the same thing on you too. So see, heroes can't only define as a savior or maybe dying for the country to show that you patronize and really a part of that nation. It looks like what happened to our heroes in our country, Dr. Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, The Gomburza and many more. They died for our country because they are brave enough to get our freedom from foreign oppressors.

Sometimes we can define a hero by doing good things or simply just you. How you portrait yourself to someone and showing what you've got is also considered a hero. You don't need to die for your country or saving ones live and let yourselves be killed. It is not necessary to do so, like what I wrote in the first and second stanza. Sometimes you also need to look at the mirror to see if you consider yourself as a hero. What I mean about it? Like for example: We all wanted to rest sometimes and for that rest moment we don't want to destruct by someone else right? So what we do, we moved out to a quite one. And then, when your parents ask you to do the household chores sometimes we act like a visitor and do not care much about in our house. We do not follow what our mom or dad command us to do. Instead, we are still the one who got mad when we already destructed. When we ride in jeepney or any public transportation, are we aware when we throw a junk inside the vehicle? We throw it because we are in a rush, we do not want to keep it first in our pocket and then throw it after some time. So see? This common example that we experienced in every minute of our lives seems to be a villain one. If we do these things, then, we can not consider ourselves as a HERO!

  1. I agree that anyone can be a hero to others or to themselves. The act of helping other people in time of need can simply make you a hero. Being a hero doesn't mean you have to die, it means making a change in other people's lives, to yours as well. :D
